First day of BEDA, and I’m already struggling to get a blog up. This bodes well for the future… It’s 9.36pm, I’m practically propping my eyelids open with toothpicks to stay awake, and I still have to blog, return comments, shower, wash my hair, dry my hair, email a teacher telling her I cannot attend debating tomorrow (she is going to be supremely mad at me, especially seeing as I left it this late!), and RSVP to my friend’s party invitation, all before 10pm (bedtime, on account of my current state of sickness in addition to my sleepiness). In other words, madness.

Today I went on an excursion for PDHPE, a subject that I loathe but am forced to take for six more months on account of the fact that I am in year ten, and year ten is stupid. However, this particular excursion was awesome fun. Our current practical assignment is to learn and perform the jive, so we went to Sydney Dance Company for some classes. As someone who cannot dance or perform graceful movement in the slightest, it should have been a nightmare, however I really enjoyed it, ridiculous as I may have looked. The instructors were very friendly and very well-adjusted to teaching people with no ability to move well whatsoever. Which is a brilliant thing, because I’m one of those dancers who thinks they look great until they trip over their own feet before they’ve even started moving and cannonball into the row behind them, setting off a human domino effect resulting in a multitude of broken bones and various other injuries.

Exaggerating? Only very slightly. I really am an awful dancer. We were doing a choreographed routine at one point that was apparently “very simple”, according to the instructor and everyone else in the class, but I had serious trouble with the moves. I couldn’t understand how to do half of them, and ended up flapping my arms unattractively and jumping around reminiscent of a hyperactive chicken with its head cut off. I suppose this is why, whenever I take those ‘learning style’ tests I score zeroes in the kinaesthetic category…

I can’t believe it’s August already. I was not at all prepared for this. I even forgot to use up the rest of my July internet allowance by watching excessive amounts of Glee online yesterday. Oh well. I’ve just been incredibly busy, what with procrastinating and the rather large maths and english tests I have this week. I need to stop blogging and study more. Fat chance of that happening. I’m yet to think of what I want to get done in August… I’ll think about that tomorrow. For now, I’ve got seven minutes to wash my hair, and then the speediest drying you’ve even seen is going to go down.

Catch you on the flipside (and by flipside I now mean tomorrow). I need to stop saying this at the end of posts before it becomes a habit. Yikes, six minutes. Bye!

Hello there!

I'm Sam. I'm fifteen, female, Australian, and very loud. I spend my time fantasizing about the day in the future where I'll have a glorious purple mohawk, writing stuff, and generally not doing my homework.
