This is just a brief little post to say goodbye. Not forever, but for two weeks, while I’m away on a school trip. The general location of this trip is Far North Queensland, in the north-east of Australia. If you have no idea where that is, Google Maps is the way to go.
I’m kind of excited about the trip, given that it involves warmer weather, and two weeks with my friends with no homework or stress. And I get to go on a plane. Twice. Which, for me, is exciting, because it’s something I’ve only experienced once, and can barely remember.
And as I’ll be visiting the Daintree Rainforest, Undara Lava tubes and the Australian Great Barrier Reef, I should (hopefully) have some stock photos for IceCaves when I come back. Although my camera is awful and grainy, which might pose a bit of a problem…
Anyway, while on this trip, I’ll have no access to internet. Mobile/cell phones are banned (not that I have one, anyway), and the only internet access we’ll get is a small netbook used to blog about each day of the trip. It’s probably a good thing, for me, to be cut off from internet for that long. Anyhow, comments/emails/flying pancakes will be returned when I get back to Sydney on Friday the 13th of August. Except the pancakes. I’ll be keeping them for myself.
So… will you miss me while I’m gone? I daresay those of you who follow me on twitter will be relieved… less spam about certain fan-made musicals. *cough*
While I’m here, I felt like the amazing awesomesauce of this day had to be documented somehow. There are three important birthdays today: J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter, and Joey Richter (who plays Ron in A Very Potter Musical/Sequel).
Now I have to finish packing… and get some sleep so I can make it to school by 5.30AM tomorrow. Ouch. Bye everyone!
